Decorative concrete and acid staining have actually been around since the turn of the century.

  • L.M. Scofield started manufacturing acid stains in the 1920’s
  • The “Big Sur Inn” in Cal. was stained in the early 1900’s and the floor still looks great today.
  • The great architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, even used it in the early 1900’s with stained walls and floors.
  • Gilbert Stanley Underwood, another fine architect who worked with the National Park Service, used textured and stained concrete at the Jackson Lake Lodge in the Grand Teton National Park in the early 1950’s.
  • With proper care, as you can see, decorative concrete can last a lifetime.

Discover your Options

  • A decorative concrete patio with a great design would sure be a wonderful place to hold all those BBQ’s. Everyone will love it!
  • Acid stained concrete floors with intricate scored patterns and multiple colors in that new loft of yours.
  • Add a touch of elegance with a stamped overlay at the end of your driveway. This always gets attention!
  • Maybe just a simple concrete resurfacing, called a broom finish, on your old nasty and cracked driveway to spruce it up like new. Just think, you wouldn’t even have to tear it all out either (along with a lot of grass). Best part about that is, it’s 60% stronger than the original concrete and it’s half the price. We knew you’d like that part.
  • Epoxy garage floor coatings that look and shine like the pictures you see in magazines sitting under your pride and joy. This epoxy won’t peel up under Hot Tires, guaranteed!
  • The basement that you’re modeling would sure look great with a floor that looks like stone or even acid stained for an easy care floor.
  • Tired of burning your feet on the Hot Concrete on your pool deck, resurfacing will cool it down by as much as 60%, make it look spectacular and provide a non-slip surface.
  • Remodeling your kitchen or building a new house, how would you like your countertops and floor to match? Acid staining of a concrete polymer overlay on the floor and countertops that are poured in place would give you this dramatic effect that no one else has. It’s nice to have something very unique in your home.
  • How about a beautiful marble foyer, but is that really marble? You know how much marble costs! How about extending that look to the your front porch or even the walkway to give a smooth transition into your home.
  • The family room in your new addition has tile floors that never seem to chip or stain despite the fact you have five kids in the house.

There’s a funny thing about decorative concrete, it has so many uses and there’s only one limitation, Your Imagination!!
